Inquiry Hearing Notices
The Manitoba College of Social Workers operates in the interest of the public. Inquiry Hearings are held in accordance with the Social Work Profession Act (the Act). Inquiry Hearings are open to the public unless the Inquiry Panel makes an order that the hearing be held in private. Sub-section 43(4) of the Act prohibits the College from including the name of the investigated member in the public notice of hearing.
Information about scheduled hearings is updated as it becomes available. Dates of hearings are subject to change at any time.

Inquiry Hearings are generally held at the Manitoba College of Social Workers’ office at 101-2033 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba unless a different venue is indicated.
To register to attend an in-person or virtual hearing, contact MCSW at 204-888-9477 or info@mcsw.ca. Pre-registration is required at least 2 business days in advance of the hearing.

Is there an Inquiry appeals process?
Social Workers may appeal a finding or order by the Inquiry Committee panel to the Court of Appeal within 30 days from the date the Social Worker is given notice of the decision.
