NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Annual General Meeting (the “Meeting”) of the members (the “Members”) of the Manitoba College of Social Workers (the “College”) will be held online on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (Central Time), for the following purposes:
- to receive and consider:
- the annual report of the President of the College to the Members; and
- the financial statements of the College for the period ended March 31, 2026 and the auditor’s report;
- to appoint auditors of the College;
- to consider, and if thought fit, to confirm, with or without amendment, any amendments to the By-law (the “By-law”) of the College;
- to formally announce the election/acclamation of individuals to the Board; and,
- to transact such other business as may properly come before the Meeting or any adjournment thereof.
There are no changes to the By-law of the College to be considered at this Annual General Meeting. Any requests for additional matters to come before the Annual General Meeting must be submitted in writing to the registrar prior to September 15, 2026.
Practicing, non-practicing and student Members are entitled to vote at the Meeting, or at any adjournment or adjournments thereof, provided that student Members shall not vote on matters relating to amendments, enactments or repeals of the By-Law.
The link for online registration for the Annual General Meeting will be circulated to members via e-bulletin prior to the meeting date.
