Applicants Social Work Student

Apply here if you are:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited or approved social work program, and are a current resident of Manitoba (if you are taking your education outside of the province)

Student members are updated about the activities of the College through an electronic newsletter, have opportunities to meet and network with Social Workers, and volunteer on the Board of Directors or Committees of the College. Student members cannot use the title “Social Worker” or the designation of “RSW” but may refer to themselves as a “Student Member.”

Eligibility

Students who are residents of Manitoba and enrolled in a Social Work Program accredited by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE) or the National Indigenous Accreditation Board (NIAB) or an MCSW approved Program (i.e.: Booth University College).

NOTE: Students are not eligible if they hold a BSW or MSW degree accredited by CASWE or MCSW Approved Program; and they are employed or volunteering within the scope of social work practice outside of their practicum.

All fees are non-refundable

Annual Membership fees
The registration year is September 1 – August 31.

Evaluation Process

Once all documents have been received, the application evaluation process takes 1 to 3 weeks. Applicants will be emailed their application decision. View all relevant MCSW application policies.
